The release of Meteora (20th Anniversary Edition) is composed of the original Meteora studio album, the full Live In Texas live album, the full performance at Nottingham from 2003, a compilation of live tracks released during the Meteora era titled Live Rarities 2003-2004, a compilation of LPU studio tracks and Meteora demos titled LPU Rarities 2.0, a demo CD featuring previously unreleased demos, a DVD featuring The Making Of Meteora, The Art Of Meteora and a new documentary Work In Progress, two DVDs with Linkin Park's full performances at Veterans Stadium and Seoul from 2003 and at Manila and Denver - Projekt Revolution from 2004. The collection sums up to a total of 89 tracks (90 tracks with "Lost (2002 Mix)").

In February 2023, it was announced that the band would release a 20th anniversary edition of Meteora on April 7, 2023. Alongside this, they released a never before released demo titled "Lost" as the lead single of the reissue.[4][5]

In January 2023, the band started teasing the 20th anniversary of Meteora by updating their website, featuring a countdown to February 1, where it was speculated that they would be announcing something related to their second album.[43][44] By the time that the countdown concluded, the website was updated again in the style of an interactive game that progressed every day up until the announcement of "Lost", on February 7, to commemorate the album's 20th anniversary.[45] The previously unreleased track was released on February 10 as the lead single alongside the official announcement of the 20th anniversary reissue.[46][47] A second single, also previously unreleased, entitled "Fighting Myself" was released on March 24.[48] The 20th anniversary reissue was released on April 7.[49]

The collab arrives as earlier this year Linkin Park released the Meteora 20th Anniversary Edition album. The project landed at the top spot on the Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums Chart, Top Rock Albums Chart, Top Catalog Albums Chart, and Top Vinyl Albums Chart.

It also marks the second collaboration between Brooklyn Projects and Linkin Park. The two previously joined forces in 2015 for a collection featuring a tee shirt and hoodie to commemorate the 15-year anniversary of the group's 2000 LP, Hybrid Theory.

Meteora, Linkin Park's ground-breaking second album, was released in March 2003 and included the global hit singles "Somewhere I Belong", "Faint", "Numb", "Breaking The Habit" and "From The Inside." It has sold over 8 million copies in the US and has been certified multi-platinum, platinum, or gold in 15 countries. To mark the 20th anniversary of this landmark release, it is being re-issued in multiple formats featuring previously unreleased and rare tracks.

Linkin Park released the 20th anniversary edition of their 2003 album Meteora on April 7 and it was really popular. The anniversary edition propelled Meteora straight to the No. 8 on the Billboard Top 200 chart thanks to 38,500 equivalent album units being moved.The PRP notes that the 38,500 equivalent album units breaks down to 19,500 actual album sales, 17,000 equivalent album sales in streaming, and 2,000 equivalent album units in just single tracks alone.Meteora 20th Anniversary Edition clocks in at a whopping 89 songs and over five hours, and includes additional unreleased songs, demos, b-sides, and entire live shows.As for some of the unreleased songs, even Linkin Park co-founder and vocalist Mike Shinoda was surprised by what the band's team came up with. Shinoda said he wasn't even aware of one song called "Fighting Myself", adding that management simply dropped it on him one day."['Fighting Myself'] was one that I knew was in the batch somewhere," he said before explaining that until someone from management sent him a note, he had no idea Chester's vocals existed for the track. "He's like, 'Dude, I think I have something you're going to want to hear' and he sent me a version with this vocal on it. It's like an old photo. It can be bittersweet but to have forgotten that it existed and then to hear it and be teleported back there, that's a gift."Shinoda also touched on "Lost", saying it was really a gift to hear the song again."Finding this track was like finding a favorite photo you had forgotten you'd taken, like it was waiting for the right moment to reveal itself.
