International Project on Epistemic Injustice in Healthcare

The Universities of Bristol, Nottingham, and Birmingham have been awarded a Wellcome Discovery Grant for a six-year project using philosophical expertise to help bring patient voices into healthcare research and practice.

The project core team is led by Professor Havi Carel (Philosophy, University of Bristol) and includes:

• Professor Lisa Bortolotti (Philosophy, University of Birmingham)

• Professor Matthew Broome (Institute for Mental Health, University of Birmingham)

• Dr Ian James Kidd (Philosophy, University of Nottingham)

• Professor Sheelagh McGuinness (Law School, University of Bristol)
