Additive Manufacturing Consultant
Dr. Mahdi Bodaghi, a Senior Lecturer at Nottingham Trent University, has published over 200 papers on smart materials, metamaterials and additive manufacturing. As the leader of the 4D Materials & Printing Lab, that hosts innovative research and project development for sustainable solutions. His expertise and visionary leadership are instrumental in advancing engineering and sustainable manufacturing.
Commercial Officer
Aliaa Mekki is a Commercial Officer with a background in sustainability, social impact, and strategic stakeholder engagement. Her previous work spans roles in corporate social responsibility, fundraising, and multi-sector partnerships internationally. During her career, she secured major development funding through partnerships with USAID, IITA, and the French Development Agency. Outside her commercial role, Mekki is passionate about grassroots impact, gender equity, and mentoring students in the social sciences.
Metamaterials Engineer
Omer Abdelrahim, currently persuing his MSc in Manufactring Engineering, is engaged in a significant project on energy-absorbing lattices and metamaterials. He has a keen interest in Additive Manufacturing and has gained substantial knowledge in mechanical concepts during his studies. Omer excels in problem-solving and is goal-oriented. He is eager to make a meaningful contribution to the field of engineering, particularly in advancing technology and innovation.
Research Engineer
Musab Hajalfadul is a mechanical engineer focusing on vibration analysis and control. Over the years, he has designed, simulated, built, and tested various pieces of equipment and machinery, always eager to see ideas come to life. Now, as a postgraduate researcher at the University of Southampton, he is gaining hands-on experience at the prestigious Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR), one of the leading vibration research centres in the UK. His work is all about combining innovation with real-world solutions, pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
