Affect is a verb, meaning an outside source will impact the POV character. I.e., "The altitude affected Karen strongly."
Effect is a noun and means "result." I.e., "The caffeine had a strong side-effect."
Boar is a wild pig.
Boor is a brute, sometimes known as vulgar.
Bore is someone who is a chatterbox.
This one can be tricky. Capitol refers to a building where the capital is the city.
Discreet would be doing something discreetly, careful not to attract attention.
Discrete constitutes a separate entity or individually distinct, something detached.
The single word "everyday" describes a routine, such as "part of a weekly routine" or "just everyday life."
Every day, the two-word term answers the questions of when or how often. For example, "I walk to work every day."
When determining what version to use, ask yourself if the character is speaking about real and physical distance or to an extent.
Physical distance: "Let's drive farther than we planned." You can see that drive refers to a physical distance.
Extent: "I want to understand this further." Here, "understand" refers to a larger degree, something that isn't physical.
