MetaForge ("the App") is a metadata transfer tool developed and operated by the developer ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use MetaForge on Android devices or via our web application.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. MetaForge is designed with a privacy-first approach — the app processes all files locally on your device and does not upload your media to any server.

3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The following data is stored only on your device and never transmitted to us:
Saved profiles — metadata profiles you create or save from presets (stored in app local storage)
Usage counter — a weekly usage count to enforce the free tier limit (stored locally)
Preset order preferences — your custom ordering and pinning of device presets (stored locally)
Subscription status — managed locally and verified through Google Play Billing
You can delete all locally stored data at any time by uninstalling the app.

4. Subscription and Payment Data
MetaForge offers optional weekly subscriptions (Basic, Pro, and Unlimited plans). All payment processing is handled exclusively by:
Google Play Billing — for Android in-app purchases
RevenueCat — a third-party subscription management platform
We do not receive, store, or process your payment card details, billing address, or financial information. These are handled entirely by Google and RevenueCat under their respective privacy policies:

5. File Processing
All file processing — including reading EXIF metadata, converting image formats, and writing metadata — occurs entirely on your device. Your files are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party servers.
Processed output files are saved to your device's local storage or cache directory and are accessible only to you.

MetaForge requests the following device permissions:
Read Media Images / Read Media Video — to allow you to select photos and videos for processing
Write External Storage (Android 9 and below) — to save processed files to your device
Internet — required for subscription verification via Google Play Billing and RevenueCat
The app does not use internet access to transmit your media or metadata.
