I respectfully acknowledge that I live, study, and work on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. As a graduate student at UBC, I recognize the profound connection these Indigenous peoples have to the land where the university now stands, and I commit to learning from and supporting Indigenous communities in my academic and personal journey.

I acknowledge that I work, play, and learn on the traditional territory of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and the Ta’an Kwäch’än Council. These Indigenous peoples have cared for this land for thousands of years, and we are grateful for their stewardship and teachings. I honour their enduring connection to the land, the water, and the wildlife, and I commit to working in partnership with them toward reconciliation and a respectful future.

As an online Master’s student at UBC, I recognize that my studies are conducted in virtual spaces connected to the university, which is situated on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the First Nations. I strive to contribute positively to the ongoing journey of learning, reconciliation, and understanding .

I would like to respectfully acknowledge that the land on which I live, study, and work is part of the Haldimand Tract, the land traditionally stewarded by the Haudenosaunee, Anishnaabe, and Neutral peoples. I also wish to honour the enduring presence, knowledge, and contributions of Indigenous peoples who continue to care for and share this land. Their traditional knowledge, laws, and philosophies guide and inspire us as we engage in learning, teaching, and community-building today.
