President Janell Crow called the meeting to order at 5:00 PM and shared a devotion taken from Matthew 25:40. Members present:

Janell asked for approval of the agenda as presented, Brittany moved, seconded by Craig, carried. The Minutes from the May meeting were approved as presented on a motion by Dave and second by Chris. - Worship: Janell has supply pastors taken care of through the end of November. Judy is working with Margaret on learning the communion procedures (set up)

- Education: Brittany shared the SS materials that have been purchased for the ’25-’26 Sunday School year. We are in need of 2 more teachers- could be every Sunday or a couple times a month- Brittany will ask for volunteers during church services. Rally Sunday will be September

14 along with the Back Pack Blessings. Pastor Paul will be in the pulpit that Sunday and Brittany has been in touch with him about the service that day.

- Fellowship and Hospitality: Judy and Margaret continue to head this up and report that everything is going well. Brittany shared about the updates to the Fellowship Hall with new signs/pictures on the wall embracing the motto “Remembering Our Past, Looking Forward to Our Future”. The council looked at the pictures following council meeting- Brittany invites anyone that has pictures to share to get them to her. Thanks to Brittany and family for heading this up.

- Building/Grounds: Craig cleaned out the back gutters and cleaned up the old fire ring- work continues on pulling up bushes by the bell tower

- Stewardship, Visitation and Community Outreach: Brittany delivered 6 Welcome bags to new families in the community. Craig and Judy visited Earl and Madeline; Fratzkes would like company- Kathy and Ron will be visiting them

- Media: Katie Crow has graciously volunteered to head up “marketing” Messiah via Facebook, an updated church website and other “techy” platforms that will, hopefully, get the word out to everyone that we are here and would love to have them join us!!!

- The storage shed has been cleaned out, snowblower has been taken out to Craig’s for storage, Sharon is storing banana boxes. Shed is neat and organized. On a side note Sharon reported that quilts would be delivered in October.

- Plans continue for the Bell committee to meet and present suggestions to the congregation. Brittany and Mike Z are working to secure members so they can move forward

- Janesville Days Pancake Breakfast brought in $517 with around 100 people served. Positive comments from attendees about the breakfast being brought back.

- Brittany reported on VBS. Discussion took place on determining a budget prior to the start of VBS with a committee of 2-3 people from each church. Brittany will send receipts for snacks to Pastor Laurie.

- Craig shared that through Thrivent and the Vierows there would be $250 to be used towards Rally Sunday, additionally the quilters received $250 also through Thrivent/Vierows

- Rally Sunday is September 14, Brittany and Judy will be discussing food to be served; Craig is working on games

- New Member Sunday will be in October but the exact date will be left up to the McCann’s as they are, as of now, the only new members to be welcomed

- December 21 was set as the date for the Children’s Christmas Program during the regular service, Janell will check with Pastor Paul to see if he is possibly available to do Christmas

With no further business Janell led us in the Lord ‘s Prayer, Dave made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Brittany. Meeting adjourned at 5:53 PM. Next meeting will be September 10 at 5:00 PM. Brittany will take minutes for Chris.
