Messenger Pop Sound Download

Hello! I'm on Poco F2 Pro, MIUI 12 android 10. When I change the messenger notification sound under settings/notifications, it just reverts back to the default fb messenger sound. Is there a way to change it or make custom notification sounds appear in the default list so I could choose them from the messenger app?

I noticed a few months back it had been changed to a camera shutter noise. I thought an update had finally changed the default sound. I changed it back to the ding after a few days as I couldn't hear it well.

I just upgraded to an iPhone XR, and the notification sound for Facebook Messenger has changed. I can't find how to change it back to the "classic" messenger sound, I only have a choice between sound off or on. Does anyone know how to change it back?

About 3 weeks ago messenger started acting funny.. each time some one sends me e message first notification sound is normal "ding" (messenger default) ,after the second message notification (another message) i get diferent sound "Tri-tone". How and why ? i tried reinstalling messenger,rebooting the device but none. Also my wife and son have the same problem. All of us are using latest ios.

Hi guys. I have a Samsung Note 3. I'm having an issue which started recently where Facebook Messenger video messages that I send do not have any sound. When I press and hold the video record button in the app and then release the button to replay a recording there is a slight click sound and then total silence throughout the video. Oh my dad that the camera works perfectly in the phone and all videos work as they should. I've done absolutely everything I can think of including uninstalling both Facebook and the messenger app, reinstalling, clearing cache for the apps, clearing cache for the phone, wiping your phone to factory settings and reinstalling everything and a few others to no avail. Any ideas you may have would be greatly appreciated as I'm totally fed up with this issue. TIA

My FB and IG sent messages and there is no sound. I switched on the Silent switch and the app notification option. I then used Joyoshare UltFix to fix the problem without any data loss.

The App worked fine: I could receive instant messages, see when someone commented my posts and so on, except notification sounds for new messages. They just don't work even though I checked the option "Chat Sounds": see screenshot

Basically what I am looking to do, is to change the notification sound to be different from my SMS message sound. (I actually used to have this working great somehow, but then my phone went for a repair and had factory reset).

I have a problem with the notification sound from the Messenger application, Viber ... I've tried all possible system settings, no results ... I can not turn off camera shutter sound, there are no more options in camera settings.. It is look like a problem with Samsung 9.0 generally?

Lol, this post is over two years old, but it solved my problem. Well, to be more specific, it solved my dad's problem. I'm visiting for Christmas, and he mentioned that his Facebook Messenger app had stopped playing the default notification sound when he would get a message. I'd looked at every single notification setting on his phone, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but nothing worked. Finally, I googled "samsung galaxy note 9 facebook messenger sound not working" and this thread was the 4th search result. Sure enough, he had the Clean Master app installed on his phone. I uninstalled it and he now has sound with his Facebook Messenger notifications again. Thank you for your suggestion!

Hey guys. Lately I've started up mystic messenger with the normal sound working but at some point, either when I go into the new chatrooms or just go into the main menu, the sound just stops. This has started with the new update. It's probably a bug but I'd like to know if any else experiencing this.

Facebook Messenger for Android offers an on/off setting for all the notifications, and a choice of the sound of a notification and an incoming call. Unfortunately, it doesn't offer an option to silence the sound. You can only either choose among several different sound effects or disable all notifications of the app entirely.
