MessageMop Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 17, 2026
MessageMop is a browser extension that helps you manage your Discord messages on discord.com.
What MessageMop accesses and processes:
- Your Discord account authorization token, either detected from your active logged-in discord.com tab or entered manually by you.
- Message data you choose to search, load, or delete, including message IDs, content, timestamps, authors, attachments, and reactions.
Local processing:
- MessageMop runs locally in your browser. It does not operate backend servers and does not collect, track, store, or send your Discord token, messages, search filters, or deletion history to MessageMop servers or developers.
- Your Discord authorization token is held temporarily in memory and is only used to send requests directly from your browser to Discord's official endpoints (https://discord.com).
What MessageMop stores on your device:
- Formatting preferences and settings are stored locally in your browser's extension storage.
- Search filters and inputs, such as user IDs, are temporary and are not saved to storage.
- Active credentials are cleared from memory when you select "Log out" or close the extension.
Third-party services:
- Extension requests are sent directly to Discord's API endpoints, so Discord processes your interaction data according to Discord's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
- MessageMop contains no advertising, analytics tracking scripts, or external telemetry libraries.
