The Mayan, Aztec, and Incan culture shares multiple similarities. They all have complex social hierarchies with a ruling classes. Also they have polytheistic religious beliefs with a focus on sun worship, advanced agricultural practices, a reliance on tribute systems, and the practice of human sacrifice. They also developed different calendar systems and and built great things such as pyramids with different styles based on geographical location. They all relied on heavy agriculture and people paid taxes for their religious beliefs. They are different because the Mayans are an independent city-state, the Aztecs formed an large empire, and the Inca created a large central government. They also had different writing systems. The Mayans wrote using glyphs, the Inca used quipu, and the Aztecs used pictures with visual symbols. The Aztecs were considered the most brutal out of the three groups. The Mayan's were more unified because of where they were and their geography.
