Job Description:

Tutors are expected to work approximately 2 - 4 hours per week working primarily with high school students on basic mathematics skills. We hope for our tutors to connect with their students such that they are comfortable reaching out for homework help, general academic advice, and accountability. Tutors will work with 1 - 2 students at a time, and will happen in person at our partner high school(s). We currently work with several schools at various distances from U of A. We will provide transportation to and from the school if it is further than walking distance from campus. Finally, tutors are expected to attend weekly meetings with the MESCIT leadership team. Overall, being a MESCIT tutor is great opportunity to support minority and under-served students, interact with the local community, and gain valuable teaching / tutoring experience!

Pay: $15 / hr ($20 / hr for returning tutors)

Qualifications:

We are looking for current undergraduate students at the University of Arizona with the following qualifications:

Previous tutoring / teaching experience is welcome, but not required
