Meet The Team

The Music Education Student Association is an organization here at Western that focuses on bringing people together through their love of music education. Our workshops provide guidance towards the path of becoming teachers, and what difficulties one might face as a future teacher. 

MESA is an amazing way to get involved with music education and learning. We help provide ways for students at Western in the music faculty to learn even more about teaching music. We promote other music education conferences, such as OMEA, and we run our own conference at Western! We also run events during the year where we are able to express our love for music education and help keep everyone connected! 

MESA is an important part of the music faculty because it provides great opportunities for students going into the education stream, or students just interested in joining in, to learn more about education, music, and listen to some awesome speakers give their take on teaching and music!
