The College Library is dedicated to the memory of P. K. Abdulla, who was one of the Architects of MES. The new Library block, constructed in 2024, is a spacious building with a 10,000 sq. ft. carpet area, featuring a reading area, Stock area, Periodical sections, and a Librarian’s cabin. A 1000 sq. ft. floor accommodates the reference section and the post-graduates' Library. The Library has been computerized with the assistance of UGC. It is one of the best Libraries in the area, with a collection of many rare books. The Library currently has a total collection of 37,200 books.

HOME
The library began operating alongside the College in 1968. The College library is the key resource of information for the academic community. The library comprises various sections and services, including Gandhian studies, the Kodungallur shelf, and the career corner. Computer databases and Internet facilities are also available. Currently, the library holds 37,000 books, 38 journals, and magazines. ILMS Software KOHA provides a user-friendly interface. The library offers a Web-OPAC, where users can search for books by author, title, keyword, publisher & subject. Users can reserve books, check the current book transaction status, and more. Subscription to N-List of INFLIBNET and DELNET provides access to more than 6000 journals and 90,000 eBooks. DSPACE was installed for our students, allowing them to access digital documents from our college remotely. A user-friendly and straightforward library site is created for students to access open-access online resources remotely. The Digital library is functioning for students and teachers, and computers are arranged with high-speed internet connections. Every year, library feedback is collected to help improve the library service. The library orientation program is conducted for new students, and the information program extends the library's role in ensuring that users make the most effective use of library resources.

LIBRARY RULES
The library is a place for serious study and research. So strict silence is to be maintained.
The library will be open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on all working days and Saturdays (9:00 am to 4:00 pm). (except public holidays and second Saturdays)
An Identity card is compulsory for entering the library.
Books are issued against library membership cards on all working days until 4 pm. Membership cards are not transferable.
Reference books will not be issued for home reading.
Back issues of the periodicals are allowed for home reading.
Students must examine the books they have taken and report to the librarian if the books are in damaged condition before taking them away.
Any book that is lost or damaged must be replaced with the same edition or the latest edition. (In case of multi-volume sets, complete sets should be replaced.)
The library card must be returned to the library upon the completion of the course. In the event of a lost membership card, a fine of Rs. 25 will be charged. A replacement card will be issued only when you've received a written application to the librarian.
You are allowed to enter with loose sheets of paper and a pen only.
Your personal belongings can be kept in the property counter set in front of the library.

COMPUTER FACILITY
The library features a well-equipped computer room with 15 computers and internet facilities available for students. The library is equipped with a Wi-Fi facility for all users.
