Borrowing rules

  1. Junior College students/Under Graduate Students can borrow one book for the period of one week

  2. Post Graduate and Research student can borrow two books for the period of one week.

  3. Issued documents should be returned to the library within the date prescribed, failing which there will be progressive fine of Rs 1 per day for the first week.

  4. Every Staff member must physically bring books issued against his/ her name on or before the day displayed on notice board .The defaulters will not be allowed to borrow the book till they clear the earlier year’s borrowings.

  5. The books from the Reference Collection are not issued outside the premises of the library at all.

  6. All students shall return books borrowed from the library before commencement of examination. The results of defaulters shall be with held in the library. Leaving certificate will not be given without No Dues Certificate from the library.

  7. The Employee of the College who get retired (voluntarily or otherwise) shall have to return all their borrowings and procure No dues certificate from the library in order to enable the authorities to settle their retirement benefits.

  8. Books and other reading material borrowed by user may be recalled by the librarian any time and should be returned within 24 hrs or within period specified in such communication.

  9. Loss of Library card should be reported to the Librarian in writing. Duplicate Reader card shall be made only after payment of Rs 10 /-

  10. Every reader borrowing library books and other documents shall be responsible for the safe custody and return the same in undamaged manner. If the book returned in damaged condition is found then the entire cost of the book will be charged to the concerned user.

  11. The user should verify and bring to the notice of concerned library staff if the book is damaged before getting issued.

  12. If the book is lost by the borrower he/she will have to replace the same bear the latest cost of the book.

  • Rules for withdrawal of book

  • Obsolete due to Change in Syllabus.

  • Books Lost by the readers, the amount is recovered.

  • Book issued to a student and not returned, the equivalent amount is deducted from their caution money.

  • Physically damaged books which cannot be used further used.

  • Books those are not traceable.
