Small Groups
The school counselor meets with students in groups to provide additional support. She meets with about 4-6 students for about 4-6 weeks.
- What are small groups?
- Lunch bunches are small groups that meet in the school counselor's office to practice skills and discuss topics such as but not limited to friendships, social thinking, worries, and leadership.
- How are small groups formed?
- The school counselor analyzes school-wide and individual data when selecting who to invite to lunch bunches. She also takes referrals from parents, teachers, administrators, school-based committees, and even students themselves!

Indvividual Counseling
The school counselor meets with students individually to provide additional support. The school counselor meets with students during lunches for about 4-6 weeks.
If your child’s classroom teacher feels as though he/she needs to see the school counselor, I will ask that they contact you for permission. However, if your child makes a self-referral, I will probably not need to contact you unless there is a particular issue that is recurring or affects the child’s safety and well-being. In these cases, I will certainly contact you.
