How Meru Chikitsa Has Helped My Parents 🙏
In November 2021, I was in the middle of doing Meru Chikitsa case study sessions with my parents. My certification required 24 continuous sessions, and due to COVID-19, finding participants was a challenge. My parents didn’t have any significant health issues, but they understood how important this was for me and agreed to be there for the sessions. Little did any of us know just how transformative these sessions would be.
Their Yatra to Ahobilam: How My Outlook About Meru Chikitsa Changed 🛕
In December 2021, just after completing their sessions, my parents, who were 66 and 71 years old at the time, went on a pilgrimage to Ahobilam. Traveling during a pandemic was tricky, and I was a bit worried about them. The trip involved visiting over 11 temples, many requiring long walks and strenuous treks. To everyone’s amazement, my parents not only kept up but were often the quickest and most energetic in their group. Fellow travelers applauded their stamina and energy—something even they hadn’t expected.
When they returned, they couldn’t stop talking about how great they felt throughout the trip. No fatigue, no aches—just pure energy. That’s when I reminded them about the Meru Chikitsa sessions they had undergone in November. They looked at me, a little surprised and in agreement, and asked, “Do you think that’s why?!” I just smiled and hugged them, in gratitude.

This wasn’t a one-off miracle. After that trip, I made sure to give my parents a few sessions before every pilgrimage they went on. The results were always the same: they’d come back energized, refreshed, and full of stories about how they outpaced even younger travelers.
On rare occasions when they skipped their sessions before their trips, they often returned feeling drained or even slightly unwell. Thankfully, a couple of post-trip Meru Chikitsa sessions always helped them bounce back within days.
Additionally, they began practicing their sadhana more regularly, taking proactive steps toward their health, and felt significantly less emotionally stressed about issues that had previously caused them worry.
