I’m Kate, the founder of Mersey Home & Pet Care. I provide calm, structured, reliable home and pet services for households that value consistency, clear communication, and care that respects routines.
I started Mersey Home & Pet Care because I saw a gap for services that prioritise routine, and low-stress care, especially for pets and busy households that want things done properly, not rushed.
I work best with clear expectations, agreed routines, and consistent arrangements. This means:
Visits happen as agreed
Instructions are followed precisely
Changes are discussed in advance wherever possible
Care remains calm and consistent.
Before starting this business, I spent over a decade in professional services and education in roles where trust, safeguarding, confidentiality, and attention to detail were essential. That background shapes how I work with clients today.
I live with three dogs and a young baby, so I understand first-hand how quickly homes can become messy and how important it is to stay on top of things in a way that works for real life.
I’m autistic, which means I tend to be very aware of cleanliness, order, and detail. I notice what’s easy to miss, and I take real satisfaction in leaving spaces feeling clean, calm, and looked after.
I genuinely enjoy this work. Knowing someone can come home to a cleaner space, a settled pet, or one less thing to think about matters to me, and I take pride in doing my part well.

Senior roles involving safeguarding, systems responsibility, and confidential environments.
Experience training and supporting large groups of adults in structured, regulated settings.
I’m degree-educated and postgraduate-qualified, with a strong foundation in organisation, communication, and accountability. I bring those same standards into my work with clients’ homes and pets.
I operate with clear policies, agreed checklists, and written expectations. I’m insured, DBS-checked, and I take key-holding, access, and privacy seriously.
