• Saved Trails: Your favorite trails list (stored locally)

We use your minimal personal information only for:

• Account Creation: Create and authenticate your user account

• App Functionality: Provide core trail guide features and maintain app functionality

• Personalization: Display your name in the app interface

• Account Security: Prevent unauthorized access and maintain account security

• Account Information: Stored securely in our Supabase database with encryption

• Trail Information: Static trail data is built into the app (no personal data involved)

• Local Storage: App preferences stored only on your device

• Data Retention: We retain your data only as long as your account is active

4.2 Security Measures

• Encryption: All data transmission uses TLS encryption

• Secure Database: Supabase provides enterprise-grade security

• Minimal Data: We collect only what's absolutely necessary

• No Third-Party Access: No external services have access to your personal data

5. Your Rights and Choices

5.1 Account Control

• Access: View your profile information in the app

• Deletion: Delete your account and all data through provided url or by contacting us

• Data Export: Request a copy of your data by contacting us (though it's minimal!)

5.2 App Permissions

• Internet Access: Required only for account authentication and trail data

• No Location Permission: We don't request or use location services

• No Storage Permission: We don't access your device files or photos

• No Camera/Microphone: We don't access device sensors

6. Children's Privacy

Our app is designed for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately.

7. Third-Party Services

Minimal Third-Party Integration: We use only Supabase for secure database and authentication services. Supabase does not have access to your personal information beyond what's necessary for account functionality. We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services. 

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by:

• Posting the updated policy in the app

• Sending an email notification (if you have an account)

• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
