I'm so glad you asked! I am a musician and educator, studying to become greater in each regard. I am passionate about education and passing on music so that others can share in the joy of playing music. I have a background in western theory, improvisation, jazz and big band performance, and I hope to pass on not only performance practices, but performance etiquette, and music history. I am extremely interested in the field of organology, the study of instruments, and how ancient cultures performed and used music in their daily lives. I'm deeply curious how different cultures and different music theories relate to the western world I was brought up in.

In addition to all of this, I am a husband and father, I am a capable handy man, and I am a huge nerd who's more than happy to throw my Dungeons and Dragons dice around. I am easily swayed by a good oatmeal raisin cookie (the superior oatmeal cookie). I love to cook, bake, and I'm a decent carpenter, if I do say so myself.
