Mercs 25 - "Purple Haze"
For unknown reasons the superior staff somehow made it to the portal of the gnomes where it floated in the air for a few minutes.
The portal slowly activated and the shimmering purple haze grew more intense as the magical gateway sparkled and small humming sound could be heard.
An arm suddenly stretches through the shimmering light and grabs the staff, pulling it inside where it dissappears with a strange "Plop!" -sound.
Everything goes silent for a second and then a figure dressed in black with purple badges and markings on the uniform steps through; eyes blinking, cautiosly checking the surroundigs. In his left hand he is carrying the superior staff and in the other he has an automatic rifle, well worn and torn.
An evil grin spreads over his face as he takes a few more steps and then calls over his radio; "Come my brothers. I have found our new haven."
A group of soldiers comes through the gate, eyes blinking also, then quickly spreading out for defensive formations and positions.
Then another group comes through and then another and another...
The commander, still fiddling and examining the staff looks to one of the squad leaders and says:
"Tarmid 1, get our full gear and equipment through the portal, find us a base of operations and then.. we will see if this new place of ours, has anything that resembles nukes."
The squad leader salutes the commander and exclaims:
"Yes sir, commander Slavko!"
About Mercs
This game is a what we call a "Big Game".
As a player you come here to have fun, follow the rules and instructions to be a positive and great part of a exciting, interesting and sometimes odd game scenario. We don't really think of Mercs as a MilSim-game, since the background stories we run are more weird sagas or funny made-ups, instead of close to real-life events or historical hooks.
We do take our game hosting seriously, as with the rules of safety and that all are welcome to have fun and participate in a great time.
Even though we dont take ourselves to serious, we do hope that you find that you can trust us to deliver an adventure!
Welcome! 😁

It is in the base that the possible loot will and can be found.
The commanders will have their pod outside and a bit away, which is all off game.
From that position they will have an overall look of the map, missions and so on.
The commanders will take turns on manning the fortress and keeping track on things.
No climbing on the scaffolding, ONLY the ladder when going up or down in the tower.
Functions - Outpost
The whole construction is IN game and CQB only applies.

The outposts will have various game mechanics depending on what mission is going down.
In the tower, you are only allowed to be 3 players at the same time.
Functions - Patches & armbands
When you check in you will be given two patches and an armband.
The armband goes on one of your two arms. On the outside of any gear and clothing, this so that you are totally identifiable. On the armband you can also attach the patch.
If you have velcro for the patches, you are still going to use the armband.
The soldiers of Slavko will be wearing purple.
The soldiers of the Global Protection Force will be wearing red.
You are NOT allowed to call out the colour of the enemy, even as a question.
If you cant identify someone, call out your own colour.
You are not allowed to lie either about your faction or team colour.
If you have one or more patches that by colour might create confusion about what faction you are one, please remove those, (if velcro).
Rules - BBs / ammo
Only bio-degradable bb's are allowed.
When loading your clips, mags or boxmags, do NOT spill around and make piles.
Make your loading on something that can collect what you drop.
In your off bases, there are to be NO bb's left on the ground. Pick EVERYTHING up, thank you very much.
You can ONLY reload when you are spawning, when you are inside your base or when you are inside an outpost.
Rules - Weapons in general.
The function is required to be as the model it represents.
An MP5 with a box mag and glued on pods are NOT a support weapon.
There are limitations to the number of support and sniper weapons that can be used in a faction.
DMR is not allowed.
RoF max is 20 bb's.
Trying to meta/cheat/wiggle the rules etc, will reward you with staying in your off base.
Rules - Assault rifles & pistols.
Rifles and pistols that are all good to play with as long as they are within the fps-table.
No hicaps, no boxmags, no elephant-ballsack-magasins or such.
Any attempt to meta-sneak around the rules will give you either a warning or a trip out of the game area and not allowed back.
Rules - Support weapons (LMG /HMG)
There are limitations to the number of support weapons that can be used in a faction.
If you take this role on, you are to play nicely and not overshoot your targets.
Support weapons are the only type that is allowed to shoot full auto.
Support weapons are to maintain the 20 metres safety distance, no matter Joule or fps.
Players who can not handle this role will be told to put the gun away and swap to assault.
You are only allowed to have one (1) boxmag loaded. If you need to refill or load up, see rules about this in the BB / ammo -info above.
Rules - Sniper weapons
There are limitations to the number of support weapons that can be used in a faction.
If you take this role on, you are to play nicely and not take unnecessary shots to the heads of your targets or do risky shots.
Do mind your safety distance.
Players who can not handle this role will be told to put the gun away and swap to assault.
Snipers are not allowed to take their next shot until the first BB has landed.
Rules - Tracer BB's , tracer units and laser.
To participate in the night missions, it is mandatory to have a functional tracer unit and bb's that trace when you shoot your gun.
Colour of the tracer-bb's have no regulations. Any colour is ok and good to go.
BB-mix of normal and tracers are to be a minimum of 50/50.
Lasers can be tested when you check in, which is done by the crew to see if they are legal and allowed.
Rules - Uniforms, Ghillies, add-on-camo.
This should go without saying, but no stupid or other problematic uniforms with markings that could draw unwanted attention to our hobby. If you need more explanation about this one, you might be the problem.
Ghillies. It is ONLY snipers who are allowed to wear full ghillie suits. (See picture.)
All other players are allowed to have leafy jackets, hats with netting or masks with added camo, and so on.
Biltema and ClaesOhlson are NOT a go-to-pro-shop when it comes to ghillies. No matter what they tag their shit with.
Functions - Hits, Bleedtime & Medic.
When hit, call out HIT! and show your dead-rag totally visible.
Stand up, sit or lie down. If needed, get out of the way if the shooting becomes unsafe.
The dead-rag are to be kept visible at all times.
You have a mandatory 10 minutes bleed time. If no medic helps you within these 10 minutes, you are to go to spawn.
All players can heal each other.
If someone comes to help you, healing time is 2 minutes. Those 2 minutes are to be kept strict! No speedy counting or half and half on the wristwatch. It is 2 whole minutes.
If anyone is found out to cut short on the healing process, both are dead and goes to spawn.
If the healing is interupted the patient dies.
You MUST use a bandaid to heal someone. NO bandaid? NO healing.
Band aids are to be placed on one of the arms.
If you are hit a 2nd time, you do not need to wait the bleed time, unless you have an item that are connected to a mission, then you have to sit this bleed time out also.
Wounded players are not allowed to move on their own. Changing location of someone who is in bleed time, to get to a safer place for healing, must be done by carrying or dragging that person. The person may help very little by pushing or kicking with the legs.
Players who are in bleed time mode or dead-man-walking-mode, do NOT give away info.
Rules - Spawn
When you have bled out or died off anyhow, you are to go spawn.
Spawning can be done in an outpost, if your team is on control of the position.
Spawning can be done in your base, if it is not under attack.
Spawning can also be done by backing homewards towards your base by 300m and sitting down.
Spawn time is 20 minutes.
If your spawn location is changing into a battle zone, you need to leave and find a new spot to spawn at. And when you spawn, do not attack enemy players in the back, that you have seen passing you or your spawning location. Find another mission or battle.
Rules - Vehicles
No motorized vehicles are in game.
Ordinary bikes are ok.
Rules - Shields
When defending the base, it is ONLY the commanders who are allowed to use a shield during combat or protecting on going healings.
If a shield is considered to have taken about 200 hits, it is wasted and needs 30 mins to spawn (get repaired) before it can be used again.
Rules - Grenades
NO pyro what so ever.
Co2-grenades that are louder than 80 decibels are not allowed.
Grenades that just goes FSZZSSSZSZT! or "POP!" or similiar to spread BB's are ok.
If you are not sure, leave it at home.
Grenades can only be reloaded or re-armed as when you are loading your clips and mags.
