Be encouraged and see yourself how God sees you: You are valuable, loved, and irreplaceable. This is a reminder that no matter what life throws at you, your worth is anchored in the sovereignty of the one who created you.
Understanding Your Divine Identity: Whenever life throws you any lemons, problems or issues, know that your worth is anchored in God’s sovereignty. God has a plan for you. You are not worthless. You are worth a lot. You are special to God, He is keeping you for a purpose, He created you for a reason. This post will encourage you to realize and acknowledge your worth and your identity as a child of God. Let me emphasize this, You are worth a lot.
You are worth so much more than you think, so much more than you would ever know. You need to understand that your worth is not rooted in human standards, or societal standards, your value goes deeper than what the world wants you to portray. It goes deeper than your achievements. It goes deeper than your financial Status, it goes deeper than that.
Your worth is rooted in Christ because you were created in the image of God, you are loved, you are valuable, you have so much to offer the world and you need to go to God in prayers and ask him to open your eyes to see what it is you need to do so that you can come to a place of glory and so that you can fulfill God’s call on your life. You can fulfill your destiny, don’t be carried away by all of the standards that society will place on you, all of the anxieties that go around achieving certain things that might not even be God’s standards. What you should care about is God’s standards, not societal standards, not the standards of your friends or colleagues, or anybody. What you should be bothered about is God’s standards and His opinion of you.
Are you trying to please God or are you trying to please human beings? because sometimes we get into a lot of trouble, we get into problems, we get into depression and a lot of other things because we are trying to please human beings, we feel like we’ve fallen short of the expectations of our fellow human beings. So, you feel like you’re worthless and not competent enough but that’s not true. You’re not worthless in the sight of God.
You know what? When you see yourself through the eyes of God, when you become aware of your worth as a child of God, you will have a happier life. You will have a more peaceful life. You will have a more fulfilling life because now you are only worried about Pleasing God and you are doing everything possible to be right in His sight alone. This will, in turn, boost your confidence.
A lot of people have opportunities to be able to achieve their earthly goals. They have opportunities that others don’t have. They were raised in wealth and attended the best schools. Some others were not given that kind of opportunity and then just because you were not allowed to go to school or to have the best of everything, you feel like you are worthless.
You should know that despite your academic lack, you have a lot to offer the world and in that your lack, lack of whatever it is, you can still give glory to the name of the Lord, you can still walk in your purpose and fulfil your destiny. You can still walk in glory, even if you lack certain things that society will see as achievements or as the standard. All you need to do is to draw closer to your creator and in His sovereignty, He will lead you and teach you. He will tell you what you need to do, to be able to go to a place of glory. What He will teach is going to open your eyes and all you need to do is to draw closer to God, He’s your father. He wants you to Come to him.
Sometimes, we think that it is only a certain category of people that can have a direct relationship with God, reverends or pastors or religious people generally, but every single person has the same right to talk to God as any other person. You have the same right to talk to God as anyone else does. You can go to God at any time, and you can surrender your life to Him as well as all of your worries and anxiety.
He’s your father, He wants you to have a personal relationship with him, and the more you go into a relationship with God, the deeper you go into seeking His face, the more you will discover your worth in God. The more aware you will be of the fact that you are not useless, you are not worthless. It doesn’t matter if you’ve given up on yourself, it doesn’t matter if the entire world has given up on you, God will never give up on you because he knows that you are special. You are unique and you are worth a lot. You have so much value within you, and you were bought with a price. You only need to turn away from your old ways and in humble submission, genuinely repent in true remorse at the feet of Jesus.
Let me emphasize that God has placed in you something that is going to help someone else. So what you need to do is to find that something, work on that something, and then help someone else, help the people around you, you need to recognize your value and this will help you lead people to their value in Christ Jesus.
Overcoming Insecurity: Knowing that you are worth a lot, you will need to work towards overcoming your insecurities. You need to stop comparing yourself to other people because that is what will make you feel insecure your self-esteem will be very low because you are comparing yourself to everybody else, you feel like you’re not worthy of a lot of good things simply because you don’t feel like you’re pretty enough. You feel like you’re not wealthy enough, you feel like you’re not educated enough, and you feel like you are not close enough to God or that you are not saved.
You feel like you are such a sinner that God can never forgive you. Please, this is not true at all. God is Compassionate and merciful. Even if you have done anything wrong, you can boldly go and meet Jesus at the throne of Grace and humble yourself before Him in wholehearted repentance, and ask for mercy. God promises that you will receive mercy in your time of need. There’s nothing you can do that God will not give you mercy if you genuinely repent. God will forgive you, He is happy when you repent, and heaven rejoices when your soul is won for Christ. Don’t feel like you are not worthy because you feel like you’re a wretched sinner.
Whatever it is, as long as you denounce it, accept Jesus as your Lord, and then go and you sin no more, God will show you mercy. If you feel like you are far away from God, as long as you ask God for grace, He will forgive you in His sovereignty because you are worth a lot and your value does not lie in your weakness, your value does not lie in your mistakes. God loves you and you are irreplaceable in his plans.
There’s something he has placed in you that only you can do, and all you need to do is just come to Him. Forget your insecurities because there is nothing God cannot do, there is no life that cannot be redeemed and there is no one that God cannot save.
There is nothing that will separate you from God’s love. So you should stop comparing yourself to other people because comparison is going to Make you feel insecure. You need to overcome your insecurities.
The best thing you can do for yourself is to give your life to Jesus Christ, even if you have been previously saved and then you backslide, you can still come back to the throne of Grace and the best thing you can do is to invite the Holy Spirit to teach, guide and help you. The Holy Spirit will give you an understanding and a knowledge of the plans of God.
The Power of God’s Love: Another thing you need to understand is that God’s love is unearned and it’s unwavering. He doesn’t love you just because you gave your life to Christ or anything, He loved you even while you were yet a sinner.
He loved you so much that He gave his only son. He sent him to this sinful world to die for your sins. God loves you so much, you didn’t even earn it. You didn’t earn that love by the works of your hands, but he loves you despite everything. He loves you even if you are the worst-behaved person on earth or even if you feel like you’ve neglected God in everything up until now.
God still loves you. His love is unwavering and nothing can separate you from God’s love. We need to understand that God loves us so deeply and that should even boost our confidence.
You are worth so much and you don’t have to do degrading things to yourself just to get earthly love from people. You want the world to love you, you want people to love you and you want vain accolades from this world and then you are doing things that you certainly shouldn’t be doing, Hurting God in the process. You are going to lengths you shouldn’t be going, you are doing things that are compromising just because you want to achieve the love of human beings. Meanwhile, there is somebody who loves you despite all of it and He’s just waiting there, He is waiting for you to come back to Him.
He’s waiting for you to ask for mercy, He’s waiting for you to come to him. He wants you to know him. He wants to be your friend; He wants you to be his friend. He is your daddy. He is your Saviour. He is so many things to us. God is faithful.
His love can never stop, It will not diminish, He loves us despite everything.
So we should try not to do things that hurt God, We shouldn’t go the extra mile to do things that the world would approve of, and we need not seek validation from our friends, co-workers, neighbors, and the rest of the world in a bid to gain the approval of society.
Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all other things will be added unto you. I’ve been hearing this scripture since I was probably a little girl, and I didn’t fully understand it until I started pondering on it. The first thing you should seek is God, period! Don’t seek your daily bread first, don’t seek Prosperity first, don’t seek good health first. Seek Ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, First look for God and Don’t worry about all the other things.
Everything Will be added. Seek God’s favour, let God be the one that will give you validation look for God’s validation first, everything else will be added to you. Let Him give you the accolades.
Let God clap for you, the most important clap and applause you can ever get in your life is God’s own. When you understand who you are in Christ and you know your worth, there are some things you will automatically stop doing because you will realize that you are simply better than that.
When your self-worth is anchored in God’s sovereignty, you’re good to go. Let God be your priority.
Ask God to strengthen your relationship with him and He will set your heart on fire for Him.
Living Out Your God-Given Purpose: You need to live out your God-given purpose. There’s a special thing in you and you need to find it. You have a talent and you have something in you that is going to glorify God’s name. You need to live in your purpose and for you to find it,you need to get close to God, You need to talk to God. It might take fasting, it might take praying, it might take praising, it might take giving to the needy.
Speak to the Holy Spirit to find out what your purpose is because you have a purpose. You have something in you that is going to give God glory in your life . God has placed it there and you need to find it.
Don’t leave this world without fulfilling your purpose.
It doesn’t mean you are going to become a celebrity. For most people, when they hear that they have a purpose, when they talk about living a life of glory what comes to mind is Going viral on social media. What comes to mind is, achieving celebrity status. When God is doing His works, He might not even need you to be a celebrity, your assignment might just be to inspire five people around you in your workplace and bring them to Christ. It might not be something that will make you go viral in this world. You need to be at peace with that first, You might not go viral on social media and you might never become a celebrity.
That doesn’t mean you’ve not done something that will bring glory to the name of the Lord. So, just ask God “What is my purpose’? When you know that you have a purpose, your self-worth will skyrocket because now, you know that you are not here by chance. You’re not a mistake, God intentionally created you and put you on this earth so your self-worth should skyrocket. You should be confident in God’s Sovereignty you should be confident in what God has placed in you, you should know that you are so special that God Created you and placed something special in you that only you can do that thing Even if you don’t go viral, even if you don’t become a celebrity, even if you don’t become a multi-billionaire, you have a purpose. You should want to achieve that purpose; it is like God sending you on an errand. You should want to go on that errand, you should want to do that thing because it is going to bring glory to the name of the Lord, and it is going to make God clap for you.
He will in turn give you the accolades that you need.
The Freedom of Knowing Your Worth: The last thing I’m going to say is that you should walk in the consciousness of who you are, have the freedom to know your worth. When you know your worth, you will not find any reason to seek validation or approval from human beings because you know who you are in Christ Jesus, you know who your daddy is and you know how much your daddy loves you. He is your father, you know just how amazing God is, you know how much He loves you, and then you know that you don’t need to impress people.
Make sure the Holy Spirit is leading you. People might mock you for having faith and for being a believer. They might mock you for wanting to do the right things, so you are seen as silly just because you are holding on to your faith and God’s Values. Please don’t give in to the pressure.
