History:

Requirements & Eligibility beginning in 2020:
The World Languages honor societies recognize students that demonstrate a high level of proficiency in the study of a World Language and show a genuine interest in the culture and people of the target language. The induction will take place in the fall. Please see the language-specific requirements below. It is expected that inductees will continue their World Language studies through the school year.
French candidates must:
be enrolled in a French course at the time of induction.
be an 11th or 12th-grade student who has completed a level 2 or Progressive course.
have maintained a cumulative French average of 90 over three consecutive semesters prior to induction.
have maintained an overall average of 80% or above.
Italian candidates must:
be enrolled in an Italian class at the time of induction.
be an 11th or 12th-grade student who has completed a level 2 or Progressive course.
have maintained a cumulative Italian average of 90 over three consecutive semesters prior to induction.
have maintained an overall average of 80% or above.
Mandarin candidates must:
be enrolled in a Mandarin class at the time of induction.
be an 11th or 12th-grade student who has completed a level 2 course.
have maintained a cumulative Mandarin average of 85 over three consecutive semesters prior to induction.
have maintained an overall average of 80% or above.
Spanish candidates must:
be enrolled in a Spanish class at the time of induction.
be an 11th or 12th-grade student who has completed a level 2 course.
have maintained a cumulative Spanish average of 90 over three consecutive semesters prior to induction.
have maintained an overall average of 80% or above.
Note: It is expected that inductees will continue their World Language studies through the school year.
