What's New for 2023 - 2024

In my current work with school boards, an emergent design to augment school-based mentorship has been supporting ongoing communities of practice for small groups of new teachers to learn with experienced colleagues who have similar assignments and/or learning goals.

These mentoring hubs (or networks or webs) foster connection, community, learning and growth for both new and experienced teachers.

This glideshow reflects the voices of mentors in a variety of roles who have shared their most meaningful experiences. Their themes of success echo the big ideas in this eBook and reflect the importance and beauty of mentoring relationships as opportunities for reciprocal learning.

This glideshow provides practical examples of how principals can embed the foundational elements of mentorship as they build learning focused relationships in support of educators and ultimately students.

These "case stories" are intended as provocations for mentors to share practical ideas for supporting colleagues (and each other).

Ideas explored include trust, receiving feedback, working with reluctant colleagues and addressing the barrier of time.
