We are Alphabet’s growth equity investment fund, our goal is to make return-driven investments in leading companies around the world and help entrepreneurs rapidly grow their businesses.
Our Google connection is our key asset. We call on experts from Google’s offices around the world to help our portfolio companies grow. Hundreds of Googlers advise the companies in whom we invest.
CapitalG works with Google experts whose functional expertise aligns with the needs of the companies that we invest in. The Googlers with whom we work draw upon knowledge from their day to day roles to offer valuable technical advice—from scaling architecture, to making the transition to the cloud, to mobile development, to cybersecurity, and much more.
We create education in partnership with Google engineers. Then we deliver it to Google engineering offices worldwide. Our job is to make it easy for engineers to build great products.
Several years ago, Google VP Bill Coughran said, "Engineering is easy, people are hard." We aim to develop self-aware, collaborative, and visionary leaders who create an organizational culture of continuous development. We provide multiple development opportunities through programs, events, and talks, for emerging and senior leaders to grow their leadership skills.
Some of our educational content is too good (and world changing) to keep to ourselves. Where possible, we try to share our content, knowledge, and expertise with the world through free education. Brought to you by Google.
Mentoring@CapitalG is a customized program that provides engineers with a confidential place to invest in their career development. Mentors are experienced Googlers who have volunteered to support the careers of engineers at our portfolio companies via mentorship.
