In this event, we created a poster board for mental mirror talk where students answered questions about how they feel when taking tests and what they know about performance pressure. Students gave answers to these questions and discussed those answers with the founders of Mental Mirror Talk.
We created a vocab quiz consisting of words related to our risk and protective factor and gave it out to students at our high school! Students who passed the vocab quiz were awarded boba as an incentive to take it. We used this quiz to spread awareness surrounding test anxiety.
Mental Mirror Talk created bingo boards based on the risk and protective factors. In Northview's mental health class, we acted out common scenarios and students gussed the correct answer based on the provided risk and protective factors.
We scheduled a group talk where students expressed their mental health issues related to their testing environment, where stress is normalized and the school culture is to recieve extremely high scores on every test without faltering.
