CAREER PROFILE
Prior to counseling and advocacy 12 years experience in management and administration including supervising and training personnel. 5 years experience as a counselor and advocate in community based psychosocial services (Winnipeg and Steinbach, MB).
Specialized and direct work in trauma, crisis intervention, suicide prevention, sexual violence/assault, feminist, solution focused, cross cultural, bio-psycho-social, narrative, art and client centered therapy.
Involvement/research in trauma in regards to cultural bereavement and exile in immigrants, refugees and visible minorities.
Employment with the Department of National Defense CFB Wainwright since 2008 to serve the specific needs of members and families of the military culture.
