PhD and Postdoctoral Opportunities in Ocean Remote Sensing

We are seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join our research team at HKU working at the forefront of ocean remote sensing and global change monitoring. Our work combines satellite data, physical models, and AI methods to understand ocean dynamics and environmental changes. 

Open Positions (updated Nov 2025):

• PhD Students: Candidates should have a strong background in remote sensing, computer science, environmental science, or related fields. Experience in programming (e.g., Python), data analysis, or satellite image processing is desirable.

• Postdoctoral Researchers: Applicants should hold a PhD in remote sensing, ocean science, geospatial data analysis, or a closely related discipline. A strong publication record, experience with big satellite datasets, and the ability to work independently are expected.
