Mirco Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) represent an innovative fusion of mechanical components and electronic circuits, engineered to create compact devices typically found on semiconductor chips, ranging in size from tens to hundreds of micrometers (1 micrometer equals one-millionth of a meter). Typical applications of MEMS include sensors, actuators, and process control units.
Established in 2005, the MEMS Department within the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications at the University of Engineering and Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, has emerged as a leading force in the field of Bio-MEMS research in Vietnam. With over 18 years of dedicated development, the department and its research groups are recognized as one of the most active research entities in the country.
The faculty members of the department are highly qualified, extensively trained both domestically and internationally in countries such as the Netherlands, Japan, and the United States. Their expertise spans various facets of MEMS technology, ensuring a rich academic environment conducive to cutting-edge research and innovation.
