Memphis Magic Night was founded in 2025 by Joe M. Turner.
Memphis magician and Atlanta magician Joe M. Turner is a professional speaker and corporate entertainer based in Memphis, Tennessee and Atlanta, Georgia. A former management consultant, he became a full time magician and mentalist in 2000. As the "Chief Impossibility Officer," he delivers keynotes on helpful CX and productivity topics. He also offers creative and astonishing entertainment at conferences, trade shows, corporate events, and upscale private parties. Joe's work has been twice recommended in the New York Times and has taken him to events across America and to 50 countries around the world.
Joe has appeared at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, House of Cards in Nashville, Monday Night Magic in New York, and at other venues across North America, Europe, South America, Asia, and Australia. He has been seen on Good Morning America, Nightline, CNN Headline News, CNN Chile, and numerous other local, national, and international broadcasts. In 2020 he delivered at TEDx talk at TEDxDupreePark. In 2022 he performed on an Armed Forces Entertainment tour of the Middle East through Magicians on Mission. He was a close-up performer in the "Palladium Magic" event at the London Palladium, and performed on Crystal Cruises as part of the acclaimed Magic Castle at Sea program, later known as Crystal Magicians at Sea. He has performed and lectured at numerous magical conferences and clubs, including the London Magic Circle; the British Ring Convention; P.C.A.M./3 of Clubs; S.E.A.M.; the Middle Tennessee Creative Ministries Conference; the South Carolina Association of Magicians; Santiago, Chile; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Auckland, New Zealand; the Thailand Magic Extravaganza in Bangkok; the S.A.M. National Convention; and the I.B.M. International Convention.
Joe served as the 2015-2016 International President of the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM), of which he is a Lifetime Member. He's also a Life Member of the Society of American Magicians, as well as a member of the Academy of Magical Arts, the Magic Circle (A.I.M.C.), and Mensa. He was voted Greater Atlanta Magician of the Year three times (2000, 2010, 2013) and has won multiple awards for both close-up and stage performance. He won the Linking Ring Award of Excellence in 2020. In 2024 he won performance awards from both the Atlanta Society of Magicians and the Society of Memphis Magicians.
Joe and his wife Rosemary are loyal alumni of Mississippi State University and have two grown children.
