Calling all youths who are interested in building up or polishing their communication skills and becoming future leaders in the society!
This Gavel club will be the place you find comfortable developing a variety of skills from public speaking to everyday interactions.
What We Do in the Meeting
Prepared speeches
Speech peer-evaluation
Impromtu mini-speeches (Table Topics®)
Each youth takes a meeting role, such as
toastmaster (the meeting host)
topics master (gives table topics and assigns speakers)
timer (times speeches)
grammarian (improves speaker's grammar)
5. Seasoned toastmasters will be present at each meeting to mentor the youth.
