Memory Petals are celebrating Holi Festival in Chester and we are even more excited to celebrate this annual Indian festival of Colours Joy in it's 5th year running. We look forward to celebrating Chester Holi on 23rd March from 11am to 4pm at The Rake & Pikel Inn, Chester Road, CH3 6BS

Due to huge demand and request from you to share our food stall list and menu items, we are happy to share all the food items that will be available to purchase on the day with minimal price tag so you can make the most of your time.

Outdoor bar counter will be setup by the Rake & Pikel staff to serve bottled drinks and spirits that can be purchased and paid by cards / cash.
On site Toilet facilities are available to use. Mens toilet access is from outside the pub and women's toilet access is through conservatory. There is access to disabled toilets too through the small door from Garden area.
We are allowed to use the outdoor Pub Garden area, indoor conservatory and toilets. The indoor pub area will be open to their usual customers
Based on previous experience, Pub Management requested not to consume food and drinks purchased from outside / nearby shops so we seek your support to meet their expectations
We have purchased plenty of dry non toxic colour for everyone so please use it sensibly without wasting it un-necessarily so that those arriving late due to other commitments can also make the most of this celebration and play holi with you
We urge you to look after your children and also rely on you to ensure children are not wasting color un-necessarily.
Chester Art Bus will also be available on-site to keep our youngest guests occupied and everyone welcome to use the bus facilities
Please be mindful of children running around and avoid any injuries while playing holi
Due to windy weather and protect children from getting dry colours in their eyes, we will provide sunglasses to children so please use them
Also a humble request to respect others and not throw too much of color on those not willing to play excessively :)
Due to limited car parking space, we have obtained secured School Car Parking space of the Huntington Primary School - across the road from Pub so, please use the school car park to park your car as shown in below map.
Please keep some cash handy as food stalls may not accept card payments.
DJ has prepared extensive list of tracks covering all regions of India so please allow sufficient time for him to cover all tunes and there will be a bowl / jar to submit your song preferences which he will try to cover as and when possible. We appreciate your understanding and support with this as playing multiple choices may disrrupt the flow so please allow some time before submitting your requests.

Finally, the weather forecast is not looking promising but as last minute resort, we are setting up a large marquee and a couple of standard gazeebos with outdoor heaters to cover the majority of the outside area so make the most of it and plan to be there in time so we can utilise all the time we have available for this celebration!

We are excited and looking forward to welcoming and celebrating this year's festival with you.
In order to ensure we all make the most of available time and facilities, please familiarise yourself with the below key information about the evening.
Doors will open at 6pm and we are hoping to setup by 6:30pm so please arrive in time
There's plenty of car parking available as shown in the below image. However, if parking is full then please use nearby street parking without blocking other vehicles / driveways
Entry to the venue is via main door to reception and turning right, passing through the main corridors. There will be staff on the reception to help / guide with anything
Bar is located upstairs and will be serving non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks throughout the event
Please keep plenty of cash to purchase food and other items from stalls
Water stations will be setup in corners of the sports hall and available to use without any charge. There will be tap water available at the Bar as well. Please avoid un-necessary waste and spillage of water to ensure health and safety
Dandiya sticks will be available to purchase at £1 per set. However, it is not mandatory to have dandiya sticks for dancing and freestyle dancing is always welcome
First aid box and on-site first aider will be available on call so please report any support requests to the DJ desk for first aid Or contact Tirumal Dayama

Please don't forget to bring your sunglasses as there will be some opportunities to use them - like a known track or when dancing on Dhol beats!

Memory Petals are celebrating Navratri Festival in Chester again after 2 years of restrictions as per the UK Government guidelines and we are more than excited to welcome you to this celebration of dance, music, colorful costumes and Maa (Mother Goddess) with authentic Gujarati food.

Memory Petals - Chester based local event management company are planning to organise Navratri Festival in Chester.
Finally, Chester is going to have its own Navratri celebration and you no longer need to travel far to enjoy Garba.

Memory Petals have partnered with Chester's local pub - Rake & Pikel - to organise a family fun day on 29th June 2019.
There will be Art Workshop for children by Art By Avanii (#Artbyavanii) and Cake Stall by Simply Tempting cakes (#Simplytemptingcakes) as well as BBQ food and drinks on sale by Rake & Pikel so make sure you don't miss out the fun in the sun at your very own local pub and support the small business community of Crown Park and Regent's Grange of Huntington, Chester.
Limited space available for any additional stall setup so those interested, please contact us using details provided on this website.
