Memory Helper ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled within the Memory Helper mobile application.
"Memory Helper is designed to respect your privacy. All photos captured and names stored within the app are kept locally on your device. We do not upload, share, or sell your personal data or photos to any third-party servers."
Most Important Note: "Memory Helper is designed to help users recognize faces and remember names. The app requires READ_MEDIA_IMAGES permission to allow users to select and display saved photos of people from their gallery for personalized recognition and memory recall."
Memory Helper is designed as a Private Offline Memory Tool.
Personal Data: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal identification information (PII) to external servers. All names, notes, and meeting details you enter are stored exclusively on your device's local database (Room Database).
Photos: When you use the camera to take a photo of a person or select one from your gallery, that image is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your photos.
To provide its core features, the app requires the following permissions:
Camera: To take photos of people you wish to remember.
Storage/Media: To save and retrieve photos on your device.
Note: These permissions are used solely for the app's functionality on your handset.
Since Memory Helper operates 100% offline, your data is never "in transit" over the internet.
Your data is stored using industry-standard local encryption methods provided by the Android OS.
We do not have any back-end servers, so there is no risk of a data breach from our side.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to outside parties. The app does not contain third-party analytics or advertising SDKs that track your behavior.
You have full control over your data:
You can edit or delete individual entries at any time within the app.
Uninstalling the application will permanently delete all data stored within the app's local database.
Memory Helper is a tool to assist your memory. While we prioritize data safety, we are not responsible for data loss due to device damage, OS failure, or accidental deletion by the user.
