Memory Rush — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 September 2026
Memory Rush ("the app") is a memory game for iOS and Android made by Abilash A R ("I", "me"). The app is free and supported by ads. This policy explains what data is involved when you play, and what choices you have.
In short
There are no accounts. I never ask for your name, email address or any other personal details.
Your game progress stays on your device.
Ads are provided by Google AdMob, which collects some device data to show and measure ads.
In the EU, UK and Switzerland, you choose whether ads can be personalised, and you can change that choice at any time.
1. Data stored on your device
Your scores, daily bests, streaks, level progress, stars and settings (such as sound on or off) are stored only on your device. They are never sent to me or to anyone else. Uninstalling the app deletes them.
2. Data collected for advertising (Google AdMob)
The app shows ads from Google AdMob. To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, AdMob's software in the app collects:
Device identifiers: the advertising ID on Android, and an app-specific identifier on iOS. The app does not ask for permission to use Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA).
Approximate location, estimated from your IP address. The app never uses GPS or precise location.
Ad and app interactions, such as which ads were shown or tapped.
Diagnostics, such as crash logs and performance data.
Basic device information, such as device model and operating system version.
This data goes to Google, not to me. Google may share it with other ad networks that compete to show ads in the app. Google's handling of this data is described in its Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and in "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services" (https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites). All of this data is encrypted while it is sent.
3. Your choices
EU, UK and Switzerland: when you first open the app, Google's consent message lets you accept or decline personalised ads. You can change your choice at any time under Progress → Privacy choices; this button appears wherever it applies.
Android: Settings → Google → Ads lets you reset or delete your advertising ID.
iPhone and iPad: Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising controls personalised ads from Apple.
Everywhere: uninstalling the app stops all data collection.
4. Ratings
The app may occasionally ask you to rate it. That prompt is shown and handled by Apple or Google, and I don't receive any personal data from it.
5. Keeping and deleting data
I don't collect or store personal data, so there is nothing about you on my side to keep or delete. Data on your device is removed when you uninstall the app. Google keeps the data AdMob collects according to its own policy, and you can manage it at https://myadcenter.google.com. If you have any request, email me and I will help.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to access or delete your data, object to its use, withdraw consent, and complain to your local data protection authority. Personalised ads in the EU, UK and Switzerland rely on your consent; non-personalised ads and fraud prevention rely on legitimate interests. Because the data is held by Google, most requests are handled by Google, but you can always contact me first.
7. Children
Memory Rush is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child's information has been collected through the app, contact me and I will work with Google to have it removed.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, I will update this page and the date at the top. For important changes I will also mention them in the app's update notes.
