Hello there and welcome!
My name is Mia Rasinski and I am 19 years old. I have been taking photos since the age of 12 when I was gifted my Canon Rebel T6. When I first got my camera, I would take pictures of everything I saw...
How I Started Out
At the same time I was gifted my camera, I had a Disneyland pass. Before I had my camera, every time I went to Disneyland every weekend and would always watch the shows and parades there. So when I got my camera, I started taking photos of the shows and parades. It was then I realized I had a passion for taking photos of live performances. I created an instagram account and became part of the Disneyland photography community. You can find my account by pressing this link, Capturing Moments at Disney. However, My Pass eventually expired and I took a break from theatrical photography.
The Continuation
In 2022, I was asked to take photos of a production of Spelling Bee at Top Hat 8 Repertory. I was so excited to be in charge of the photos because I hadn't taken photos for a live show in years. I was a bit hesitant at first because I was a little rusty, but the second the opening number started I suddenly remembered everything and began clicking away. Since then I have professionally taken photos for 20 other productions for beloved theatre companies in Orange County.
As much as I love theatrical photography, I started to branch out. I started taking interest in photographing other things like headshots, portraits, and events like birthday parties and competitions. I started off with taking photos of friends and family first, but I started to begin clientele and have professionally photographed numerous sessions with lovely orange countians.
My Personal Life
When I am not taking photos, I am either performing in musicals, working as a party princess, hanging out with my lovely boyfriend- Jeremiah, and my amazing friends and family.
I have been in over 30 musicals. My favorite credits include, but not limited to, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors- which I won the 2021 Broadway World Los Angeles Regional Award for Best Performer in a Musical, Whatshername in American Idiot, Mother in The Trail to Oregon, Elle Woods and Paulette in Legally Blonde, Heather Chandler in Heathers, Brittain in Ghost Quartet, and Fantine in Les Miserables.
Aside from theatre, I also work as a party princess. I started working when I was 15 years old and have been working as one ever since. I've played many princesses, but my favorite to play are Anna from Frozen, Snow White from Snow White, and Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Not only do I play princesses, but I also play villains, mermaids, even mascots such as Cruella DeVil and Baby Shark! However, playing princesses is such a full circle moment. As a little girl my favorite thing to do was dress up, so dressing up as princesses as a little girl to dressing up as princesses as an adult and as a profession is such a magical thing.
