Mr. Hongjun Chang, a Ph.D. student in the Multiscale Energy Materials & Systems Modeling Laboratory (MEMLab) at Chung-Ang University, has been selected for the 2025 Research Encouragement Program for Doctoral Students funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF). Through this program, Chang will receive 50 million KRW in research funding over two years (25 million KRW annually). Congratulations!

2025.08.14  📢LGEnergy Solution Target Lab Visit at Chung-Ang University (MEMLab) 

LGES’s Cell Design Solution Team (소형·개발·Cell선행·Cell설계Solution팀) visited MEMLab at Chung-Ang University. During the visit, PI. Hayoung Heo, from LG Energy Solution, Ltd., delivered a presentation introducing the Cell Design Solution Team and shared insights into LGES’s cutting-edge approaches to cell design and development. This visit provided an excellent opportunity for in-depth discussions on collaborative research directions, modeling-based cell optimization, and innovative design methodologies for next-generation battery systems.

Prof. Moonvisited Prediction Inc. at the invitation of CEO Kim Duho, who is also professor of the mechanical engineering department of Kyung Hee University. Prof. Kim, as a laboratory colleague, has launched a battery-related venture in earnest and is currently conducting business after moving into Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town in Gyeonggi province. We hope for a bright future ahead for Prediction Inc.

Hongjun also awarded Excellent Paper Award from KSME Annual Meeting 2023 of CAE & Applied Mechanics in the Korean Mechanical Engineering Society.
