Hello Viewer! My name is Melyssa Brazzero, I am 22 years old and was born in New Jersey but raised in Pennsylvania.
Growing up, family has always been a big part of my life and still is. They are the reasons I do the things I do and I am always thankful for them.
When I was younger, I had always loved singing and drawing and even today I enjoy both of those things very much.
In high school, I found out that I really enjoy drawing animals and landscapes, but when it comes to animals, I don't draw just any animal, I liked to draw animals I knew personally.
Some of my early works includes drawings of my pets in graphite and some landscape scenery I did in water color.

After high school I decided to go to college. I first decided to major in biological science but soon found out that it wasn't what I wanted to do so I ended up majoring in fine arts instead.
Although I was already quite experienced in creating art, my college professors has taught me so much more and expanded my knowledge on other materials, how important it is to photograph my art in a professional way, and how to write artist statements.
During my time in college I created artworks that involved me going outside of my comfort zone and creating things that were 3D.

In addition to that, I also had the opportunity to work with charcoal and although it can get messy, it was definitely interesting to try out something other than graphite.

The further I got into my degree, the more I got to experience the life of an artist. I also got to participate in a couple exhibitions for my college. It was really exciting to see my artwork displayed in the halls for other students and people to see.

During 2020 though, because of Covid-19 I did not get the chance to display my art in person so my professor made a website displaying our art at https://teabonner.wixsite.com/drawingfall2020/brazzero.
My final art display was done in 2021, all the students participated and it was such a beautiful experience setting up my artwork in a hallway for students and staff to enjoy.

On May 25, 2022, I finally graduated with an associate degree in Fine Arts.
I am currently working on getting a bachelor's in graphic design and an additional associate's in photography at the Pennsylvania College of Technology.
