About Meltin’Sun

Meltin’Sun is a solo Heavy Metal project forged in Brazil, blending the power of traditional heavy metal, the grit of grunge, and an atmosphere soaked in booze-fueled hangovers and existential dread. Created by Victor Mayrinck, a longtime musician in Rio’s underground scene, the project delivers raw, heavy tracks packed with riffs designed to melt eardrums.

Influenced by bands like Mastodon, Alice in Chains, Red Fang, Soundgarden and Metallica, Meltin’Sun is a dark and intoxicated blend of distorted vocals and lyrics that dive deep into regret, recklessness, and a whole lot of bad decisions soaked in liquor.

Release

The debut album, Bad Booze Trip, drops on June 13th, 2025 on all streaming platforms. Featuring 8 original tracks, it’s a conceptual record that invites listeners on a night of misadventures with a young, reckless rocker — one who’s probably had a few too many. The songs capture the essence of the project with brutal honesty: heavy, unapologetic, and raw.

Background

Victor Mayrinck has spent years in the underground scene. He began his career with the cover band Karniça, paying tribute to grunge and '90s rock classics. The band gained popularity in the early 2000s among younger crowds. Later, he dove into original music with Blackmaster and Soulifer, performing in renowned venues across Rio de Janeiro, Niterói, and São Gonçalo, including Saloon 79, Tulipão, Bar do Blues, Studio Bar, Bar Convés, Recreativo Trindade, and Arab’s Café.

After years of composing complex music filled with virtuosic solos and intricate guitar lines, Victor chose a more visceral path — thus, Meltin’Sun was born, with a full focus on impact, heaviness, and authenticity.
