We’re looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Melot Group and help develop next-generation materials for energy storage, including fluoride- and sodium-ion batteries, and solid electrolytes!
About the Role
The position will focus on the design, synthesis, and characterization of solid-state materials, integrating experimental and computational approaches in close collaboration with national lab and industry partners. Binghamton University is at the heart of the upstate New York battery innovation ecosystem—through its role in the “Battery NY” and “Upstate New York Energy Storage Engine” initiatives, the region is shaping the national future of battery research and manufacturing.
We’re Looking for Someone Who:
Has a Ph.D. in chemistry, materials science, physics, or a related field, with strong experience in solid-state synthesis, electrochemistry, or characterization.
