Our goal is to support the music education of children with learning or physical disabilities globally for free through music enrichment. Music has the ability to increase critical thinking and memory, enhance creativity and personal expression, and promote emotional well-being through stress relief and emotional processing. Composing, especially, provides an outlet for children to express their emotions, thoughts, and stress without having to verbally vent which can be unappealing for some people. We are hopeful to begin organization activity winter 2025 and expand nationally by the end of 2026.
Mina Zhang is a sophomore at Allen High School in Allen, Texas. She has been passionate about music since the age of three. Recently, she discovered her interest in medicine, and especially, pediatrics. By starting Melody Remedy, she combined her two ambitions - composing and pediatrics - along with a community service aspect. She is fluent in Japanese and almost in Chinese and plans on expanding her organization globally through her trilingual background. Her other interests include ballet, singing, piano, and Soo Bahk Do (martial arts).
