What you were doing when it happened (e.g. "drawing on the canvas," "tapping Restore purchases")
Your device model and iOS version (Settings → General → About)
A screenshot, if it's something visual
How do I make music with the app? Pick one of three input modes at the top of the editor — draw (sketch a freehand line), pixels (tap cells on a grid), or piano (play an on-screen keyboard) — and start creating. Every note automatically locks to the key and scale you've picked, so nothing you play is ever a wrong note. Tap the play button to hear your loop.
How do I save my work? Tap the save icon (top-right of the editor, a square with a downward arrow) and give your piece a title. It'll show up on the Home screen, both as a colored day on the calendar and in the recent list below it. Tap any saved piece to reopen and keep editing it.
What's included for free, and what needs Pro? Free: 5 of the 9 instrument voices (keys, pluck, marimba, flute, bass), the full beat layer, every key and scale, MIDI export, and shareable codes — up to 3 saved creations. The one-time $4.99 Pro unlock adds the other 4 instruments (bell, strings, chime, 8bit), a custom color picker, WAV recording/export, and unlimited saved creations. Look for the lock icon on anything Pro-only — tapping it opens the unlock screen.
I bought Pro but a new install (or another device) still shows it locked. What do I do? Open the "Unlock Pro" screen (tap go pro on the Home screen, or tap any locked feature) and tap Restore purchases. This re-checks your Apple ID's purchase history and unlocks Pro again at no extra charge — Pro is a one-time purchase, so this works on any device signed into the same Apple ID.
Why doesn't my music sync between my iPhone and iPad? By design, it doesn't NoteScribe: Loop & Beat Studio keeps everything local to each device and does not use iCloud or any other sync service. To move a piece between your own devices, or send one to someone else, use Copy shareable code from the share menu: it copies a text code you can paste anywhere (Messages, Mail, Notes), and the other device can paste it back in from the import button next to "+ new" on the Home screen.
How do I get my music out of the app? Tap the share icon in the editor. Export as MIDI gives you a standard MIDI file you can open in GarageBand, Logic, or any DAW or notation app. Record & export WAV (Pro) captures exactly what you hear as a shareable audio file. Both open the system share sheet, so you can AirDrop them, save to Files, or send them anywhere.
Does the app collect my personal data? No — see the Privacy Policy for the full details. In short: there's no account, no analytics, no ads, and no server. Everything you make stays on your device unless you explicitly choose to export or share it.
I found a bug, or have an idea for a feature. We'd love to hear it — email us at the address above with as much detail as you can.
NoteScribe: Loop & Beat Studio runs on iPhone and iPad, and adapts its layout for both. If you run into a compatibility issue on a specific device or iOS version, please let us know — that's exactly the kind of thing we want to fix
