I grew up primarily in Anaheim, California. I chose teaching as a career because I knew that it was what I wanted to do when I was in Mrs. Lenhert's 4th grade class. That's when I fell in love with California history and Mrs. Lenhert helped me catch up in math. I want to be able to do those things for other kids. 

I love camping and being in nature. I lived in northern Nevada for a long time so I had mountains, forest, and desert all around. Lake Tahoe was right there as well. I cannot overstate the importance of being out in the natural environment, it truly does reset your entire being. Also, the aroma of the high desert after it rains is absolutely heavenly.
