Welcome to the first step of your healing journey. I can't wait to walk alongside you.
“It’s hard to be happy without a life worth living. Of course, all lives are worth living in reality. But what is important is that you experience your life as worth living – one that is satisfying, and one that brings happiness.” – Dr. Marsha M. Linehan
Does life feel like climbing a mountain with no peak? Does anger feel like salt on an open wound? Depression can feel like an intruding visitor who has overstayed their welcome. As days pass, the light at the end of the tunnel seems to fade further away, leaving you haunted by the ghosts of past trauma. You may notice that insecurity, anxiety, and fear of abandonment are damaging your relationships and friendships. People-pleasing feels like an unbreakable pattern, and setting boundaries continues to be your greatest challenge. You feel broken and exhausted, and you’re ready for a change. You want to embark on this journey, yet you’re unsure of the first step. Imagine feeling in control of your emotions rather than letting them control you. Picture waking up without dread and finding safety and security in your relationships. You desire the ability to say 'no' as easily as you say 'yes,' to express your thoughts without fear, and to discover meaning and purpose in your life—a life worth living and fighting for.
You’ve decided it’s time to seek help, but you feel like you’re at a fork in the road with countless paths ahead. You want guidance and support from a therapist who won’t judge you for your past or your actions. Instead, you’re looking for someone who will recognize your strengths and help you explore the roots of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. As a therapist experienced in working with individuals facing suicidal thoughts, self-harm, depression, anxiety, and trauma, I provide practical strategies to help you manage your mental health using DBT skills. I also guide clients in exploring trauma more deeply through an attachment-based approach. I am passionate about helping clients reshape deeply ingrained negative beliefs, leading to healthier self-esteem and a sense of intrinsic self-worth. I can serve as a safe and secure anchor while processing trauma and provide support by guiding you back into your body through grounding techniques. Additionally, I act as a sounding board for individuals and couples navigating relationship difficulties, teaching effective communication strategies.
I am particularly dedicated to working with individuals with borderline personality disorder (BPD) and complex childhood trauma. As a neurodivergent, Vietnamese American, and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, I understand the impact of intersectionality on trauma and mental health. I wholeheartedly believe that everyone has the capacity for recovery and deserves the support and guidance necessary to find healing. I invite you to explore my website and reach out for a free 15-minute consultation. I look forward to walking alongside you on your healing journey.
