Dear 3rd graders,
I hope you have had a wonderful summer filled with sun, family, and fun! This school year is not going to be like any other. This is a special year; it is a time when you may fall down, but you will get up; this is a time when you will overcome obstacles, a time when you will look back and smile because you accomplished great things. My expectations for you are nothing but the best, and I am excited to be on this journey with you.
This will be my 10th year teaching 3rd grade in the Ridgefield School District. My husband and I live conveniently down the street with our two sons, Joshua and Noah, his best friend, Christian, three dogs, three cats, two fish, and four special-class pets. I have spent most of my life traveling and growing up in a military family. After settling down in Texas, I met my husband in high school and married in Hawaii years later. I then became a military spouse. We were blessed to retire here in Ridgefield, where I now have the pleasure of being your teacher and making this your best year ever!
I enjoy exercising, hanging out with friends and family, snuggling with my fur babies, and watching movies in my spare time. We did get two new kittens, so they take up some of my spare time. The rest of the time I spend going to school like you, so we are both students! I am so excited to start the new year, and I can’t wait to meet you!
