I established this weekly newscast to inform the PSJA community of news highlights from across the district for that week. In less than three minutes, viewers are able to get information on five human-interest stories and easily share it on their own social media platforms. The aim with every newscast was to give viewers quick and easy access to fun, but relevant information, while also highlighting the success of students and staff.

PSJA Snap Stories
PSJA Snap Stories
I created the Snap Stories series as a quick way to captivate the audience. Through this series, I was able to cover an entire event or story on a social media platform and upload it instantaneously with little to no editing. Because it was on social media, I was able to engage with a younger audience and cross share it to other official district platforms such as YouTube and Facebook. I also created several series within the Snap Story series, such as the Day in the Life series, where a staff member took over the account for the day.

I created the Library Tech Squad series to help showcase to parents and students how libraries are going outside the normal realms to give students hands-on learning experiences. Through this series, we were able to inform viewers how librarians are exposing students to technology outside of the classroom.

PSJA Book Nook

I created the PSJA Book Nook series as a way to promote the PSJA Library Services Department by having each one of our 40+ schools recommend a book to their peers. In doing so, the students were able to get recognized and given shoutouts by the authors when I tagged them on social media with the release of each video.

As a way to provide coordinated support for students and families following the effects of COVID-19, PSJA ISD implemented a districtwide program to offer students and families Social and Emotional Learning (SEL). District counselors begun an SEL academy series for students live on Facebook and YouTube, in which I technical direct each episode using the live-streaming service BeLive.
