I value service as an important part of academic life, including mentoring students, contributing to professional communities, supporting peer review, and participating in university-level graduate student leadership. Through these roles, I have had the opportunity to support undergraduate researchers, contribute to professional organizations, and advocate for graduate student development and well-being.
Undergraduate Research Mentor, NSF REU Program
Clemson University, Summer 2025
I mentored three undergraduate researchers participating in a National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates program. I supported students in literature review, data analysis, academic writing, and research communication. I also held regular meetings and provided feedback to help students make progress on their research and learn more about graduate school and academic research.
The mentoring experience contributed to a coauthored paper, “Optimizing Park Locations with Imperfect Information,” presented at and published in the proceedings of the 2026 IISE Annual Conference & Expo.

I served as an ad hoc reviewer for Socio-Economic Planning Sciences, evaluating methodological rigor, modeling assumptions, validation needs, policy relevance, and practical implications.
President, INFORMS Student Chapter
Clemson University, August 2024 – August 2025
I led strategic planning, programming, officer coordination, and external engagement for Clemson University’s INFORMS Student Chapter, supporting a multidisciplinary community of more than 100 graduate students from Industrial Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, and related fields.
During my term, I initiated and organized professional-development and community-building activities, including a graduate student welcome event attended by more than 50 students and conference presentation practice sessions supporting approximately 15–20 participants per session. I presided over officer and chapter meetings, coordinated responsibilities across the leadership team, and served as the primary liaison among chapter members, the faculty advisor, Clemson University, and the national INFORMS organization.
I also supported interdisciplinary and inter-university engagement through collaboration with other student organizations and academic chapters. During the 2024–2025 award year, the Clemson chapter received the INFORMS Student Chapter Annual Award at the Magna Cum Laude level.
Representative, College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences Graduate Student Advisory Board

I represented the Industrial Engineering department on Clemson’s Graduate Student Advisory Board. In this role, I participated in college-level discussions related to graduate student well-being, funding access, professional development, and community-building. I also contributed to travel-grant evaluation and cross-departmental initiatives designed to support graduate students across the university.
