Skylar Robinson is a highschool junior and the Founder and Executive Director of Melanin Minds in Medicine, a student-led program based in Metro Atlanta. This program is dedicated to expanding access, representation, and equity in healthcare. Having been deeply impacted by medical programs and mentorship opportunities throughout her own journey, Skylar founded Melanin Minds in Medicine to ensure these same life-changing experiences are accessible to others—free of cost.
Driven by a passion to help others and address real-world health inequities, Skylar has developed equitable technology solutions, including healthcare focused applications and biotechnical devices designed to improve access, awareness, and patient outcomes. This innovation-driven work has led her to national recognition, including awards from the CDC Junior FLAG STEM Competition and the Camille Schrier STEM Award.
A nationally renowned speaker and STEM advocate, Skylar continues to merge service, innovation, and leadership as an aspiring physician, with the goal of empowering the next generation of diverse healthcare professionals.
Chanson Love is a dedicated student leader and board member of Melanin Minds in Medicine with a strong passion for advocacy, leadership, and healthcare equity. He serves as a Board Member on the Black Student Union and was elected Student Body President of his sophomore class, demonstrating a deep commitment to representing and uplifting his peers.
Through participation in various summer academic and enrichment programs, Chanson has gained early exposure to medical and STEM-related fields, experiences that have further strengthened his interest in pursuing a career in medicine. His leadership, curiosity, and dedication to service make him an integral part of Melanin Minds in Medicine’s mission to empower the next generation of diverse healthcare professionals.
Sinclair is a diligent scholar and a junior in highschool. With a strong passion for service and medicine, she is deeply committed to uplifting her community and supporting initiatives that promote equity and access in healthcare.
