MELANGKAP HOMESTAY was founded by Mr. Rubbin Guribah in 2002. Melangkap is situated next to the Lows Gully outlet in a secluded Kota Belud settlement. After the catastrophic Sabah earthquake in 2015, the community attracted notice. The Panataran River's geographic terrain has changed dramatically as a result of the earthquake's aftereffects and a few subsequent floods, making it a popular tourist attraction. The residents therefore seized the chance to advertise Melangkap village as a rural tourism destination, offering activities like camping, trekking, river bathing, etc.
Visitors will be tempted by the stunning and diverse natural surroundings as well as the cool, crystal-clear water that is just outside Melangkap Homestay, flowing directly from Mount Kinabalu into the river. It's impossible to ignore and impossible to look away from the magnificent image of the mountain. Morning and evening hours are when the mountain is most visible.
The homestay offers a variety of lodging options, WIFI, parking, BBQ grill, and house games. However, all you need to do is approach the homestay operator if you have a specific request or favor. They are extremely friendly and accommodating.
