National Museum of American History, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C. Gary Kalnik, Chairman of the Department of Social & Cultural History at the Smithsonian wrote: "It gives me great pleasure to acknowledge, on behalf of the National Museum of American History, the receipt of ‘Digitized Homage to Rembrandt’ presented to our Division of Graphic Arts. This lithograph from a computer-generated image is a most valuable addition to our collection."

Rembrandt House Museum, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Eva Orenstein-van Slooten, Director and Curator of the museum that was Rembrandt’s home and studio agreed to have a fax machine placed on Rembrandt’s 350-year-old etching press to receive Mel Alexenberg’s computer-generated angel flying there from New York and then on to Jerusalem and Los Angeles. She said it was a wonderful idea since It would make her museum, a quiet place, come alive as Rembrandt’s angel rematerialized in the place he had originally created it.

Butler Institute of American Art, Youngstown, Ohio.On behalf of Director Louis Zona, I wish to thank the Pratt Graphics Center for the gift of the lithograph “Digitized Homage to Rembrandt” by Mel Alexenberg. We are pleased to include this very inventive work in our on-going permanent collection of American prints.”

New Orleans Museum of Art, New Orleans, Louisiana. Director of the museum E. John Bullard wrote: “‘Digitized Homage to Rembrandt’ is a welcome addition to our collection of contemporary graphics, particularly since we have few computer-generated works in the Museum."
