MEIOSIS presented its Preliminary Design to a panel of faculty and former students, accompanied by spectators. Most saliently, the manipulator requires an increased gear ratio to actuate joint 1/2 and joint 3.

The above image exhibits 3D printed test parts. On the left is a pair of test clamps. One overestimates the diameter, while the other underestimates. Both indicate the distance cap between the hardware mounting tabs should decrease. On the right is a partially assembled differential, which confirms gears have slop that may adversely affect accuracy and precision to the extent the manipulator cannot meet its specifications.
