I work on problems where marketing, data, and technology collide.
My background spans quantitative research, data science, and hands-on digital marketing—from leading growth initiatives and managing creative teams to building causal models of marketing effectiveness and studying how AI changes consumer behavior. Today, as a Marketing Ph.D. candidate, advised by Prof. Hema Yoganarasimhan, I use econometrics, experimentation, and machine learning to turn messy business questions into measurable ones.
I’m especially interested in problems involving AI, customer behavior, digital platforms, marketing effectiveness, and growth—particularly when the answer requires both rigorous analysis and an understanding of how marketing actually works in practice.

RQ: What is the causal effect of the Google AIO launch on Wikipedia's organic search traffic?
Method: A difference-in-differences (DiD) design using English articles as the treatment group and German or French ones as the control groups.
Results: English articles experienced a ~5% decline relative to the control groups
Khosravi, M., Kleiman-Weiner, M., Yoganarasimhan, H. (2026).
RQ: How do consumers transfer their knowledge about brands from one product category to another?
Method: proposed meta-learning algorithms in combination with lab experiments and Bayesian likelihood estimations.
Results: consumers do meta-learn, but in a non-optimal and noisy manner.
Khosravi, M. & Yoganarasimhan, H. (2026).
RQ: Is the use of third-party online traffic data for causal inference research defensible?
Method: We simulate stylized third-party data-modeling mechanisms to assess whether using this type of data produces biased estimates.
Results: Third-party traffic data could induce bias in estimates, and researchers would not be able to estimate the bias direction.
